The VMAST Canvas is a supplementary resource provided by World Heritage Catalysis including a growing number of evolving frameworks that can be applied and adapted to fit the purpose:

• SWOT - for mapping and identifying Strengt, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Treats upon a VMAST appraisal
• PEEST - for mapping and identifying Political, Environmental, Economic, Social & cultural, and Technological actual and potential events, impacts and likeliness
• Stakeholder maps - for mapping involvement and participatory governance
